Selector fork repair.Selector fork repair.Hi all,I am Tony a new member from the UK, I am restoring a 64 CB72 gearbox with all the usual faults, selector drum stop plate fitted on the bottom, 14mm bush worn, knock pins missing from both kick shaft bushes and badly worn selectors. I have put an add in the wanted section hopeing someone in the UK may have some but if all else fails has anyone any experience of building up the worn areas with Stellite and grinding back to size. ts.
Re: Selector fork repair.Hi Tony
Sounds like you have a fun project. Give me a couple of days and I might be able to find you a couple of decent forks. I have some stellite rods, too! PM me if I haven't got to you by Monday.... G

I think that a broken fork stopped play and th ebike was thrown into a leaky shed. The only usable things from that engine was the cases and dipstick... :-) I was away all day yesterday but I'll have a look today. G

Glad to say mines not that bad just put together by someone who didn't know what they were doing, how anyone can miss out the knock pins on the kickstart shaft bearings is beyond me they must have wondered what the holes were for.Apart from the 14mm bush and the selector forks everything looks ok mind you i still have to strip down the top end so god knows what i will find, wish me luck.
