CB77 Steering stem

Post by Tim Allman » Wed Mar 06, 2019 2:04 pm

My CB77 (CB77-1042693) has some collision damage that should have been repaired decades ago but it wasn't. Poo. I haven't been able to upload pictures or get pictures elsewhere to show so please follow the links below.

This is the steering stem that I took out. No wonder the bike doesn't like to run a straight line.

Here it is from the bottom.

My parts book tells me that the last change in this part (53200-268-610) happened at CB77-1042565, not long before mine was made. I've been looking for a new one of course, but without success. David Silver Spares has 53200-268-070 and 53200-268-060 but these predate my machine.

So, two questions:
  • 1. Does anyone know if one of those will work?

    2. Does anyone have one for sale?
