Running a capacitor on my CA160. How can I save me bulbs? Is a battery the only answer? It runs great off the capacitor. Looking at ways to living without a battery and still have a brake lamp.

Replace the original rectifier with something like this: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07H38C7D4/ref=sspa_dk_detail_4?psc=1&pd_rd_i=B07H38C7D4&pd_rd_w=z3eOn&pf_rd_p=8a8f3917-7900-4ce8-ad90-adf0d53c0985&pd_rd_wg=TELMw&pf_rd_r=GZ45S85W686HPFF0JPQ7&pd_rd_r=eda944a3-985b-11e9-80a3-a18782f7606f
It has an internal voltage regulator circuit, should save your light bulbs.
