is your trim ring for a CL77? I did a search on EBay and couldn't find it. Can you please provide the EBay item # so I can check it out?

G-man, your explanation is very helpful. I'm concerned about removing the rubber ring as I accidentally bumped an edge and it sort of pealed up. thanks. I will definetly look into this. I did find a few places to send the speedo for repair. I emailed 2 of them. One said he could rebuild it in 7-10 days for $250. The other one said 2 weeks for a price of $125. I like your idea of me fixing it myself, with your help.

the speedo on my Scrambler works fine but the odometer does not register mileage. I suspect the gear itself needs to be replaced.
