Does the sound seem to be coming from the right side?

hard to pinpoint the noise but I would say right side

305 CA77- when cranking engine there is a loud sound metal slapping metal about 4-5 hits before engine starts.After starting no noise heard.This does no happen every time starting.No noise heard at RPM,runs fine.I checked timming chain tensioner,ok & starter is not hanging up.

ca77 how do you reload the kick start spring

Slide was stuck,sprayed it with carb cleaner,let it soak and removed.

CA77,removing carb to clean.How do you seperate throttle cable from carb?
