I've looked at the rectifier on EBay and decided no go. I will try all of your suggestions and as a last resort end up using the shrink rap.

Need help, does anyone have a picture of how the wiring is mounted on the frame of a 1966 CL77 305 scrambler. I am resembling my bike and am not sure of where the wiring is connected to the frame. Any pictures would help.

Thank you for the photos, I see what I was doing wrong, trying to mount the light in the case instead of the ring. I should have no problem with the light now thanks to your help.
