Thank You G Man
I dug out one of the old bushes and I was surprised that the difference is not nearly as great as I thought. I have removed the powder coating from the mating surface on the frame but there is still a long way to go. The swingarm does not appear to be bent.

Did you also remove the powder coating from the swingarm, that would reduce the distance between the bushes.
Something else to look at is if you had to knock the swingarm pivot bolt out you can move the frame bushes, they are just pressed in.

You might be able to use a sander to remove the bulk of that, but I would revert to hand tools to remove the last 20 thou or so each side.

On a positive note, you will have a really superb, close fitting swing arm when you have finished.... :-)

Thank You Malcolm and G Man
I have bare metal contact behind the flange and between the flange faces. I am working on moving the frame flanges inward at this point. I thought they were welded in place. They sure look like they are welded.

Outside dimension for the frame bushes measures 162mm on a frame that I have access to.

Those flanges are welded on all the CB77's I've seen. Once you get the inside bushings to fit on the frame flanges, also be sure that the inner steel bushings are slightly proud of the brass on the outside. The pivot bolt needs to tighten down on those inner steel bushings and not the outer brass or phenolic ones. Otherwise the swingarm will be grounded to the frame which will lead to disappointment.
