Couple of suggestions. First, paint the inside white. Makes a big difference for being able to see what you are doing.

Go to a fabric store and buy some clear vinyl. Cut sheets to cover your glass window. It will save the window from getting blasted and eventually impossible to see thru. I made a small wood frame to hold the clear vinyl and just tape it to the frame.

Personally, I'm not crazy about a glass window. You will eventually hit it with whatever you are blasting and it will break. I prefer a plexiglass window.

I would like to find something that lasts a bit longer than the clear vinyl. I find that I'm changing it more frequently than I would like to.

on my cheapo harbor freight cabinet I threw away the plexi lid and welded up a steel frame out of 1/8x2 plate. I buy sheets of 1/8 acrylic (home depot) cut to fit and attached to the underside with double sided foam tape. it will slowly cloud up but can be scoured with a mild abrasive cleaner and made to last a little longer. then it needs to be replaced, but it's cheap and fast to do so. usually lasts thru one bike project. just as important is to keep your filters clean and your air dry.

cheers for the tips on the window i was wondering if that was a good idea, like youve both said it needs a screen over it in the uk we have a product thats called perspex (clear acrylic plastic) will make a frame to slide a sheet in. Im in the middle of painting it white satinwood (only paint ive got) many thanks again.
