Not really a bonus for your project. Honda discontinued the breather tower early on. What may be a bonus about it being a 1961 motor is someone may be able to use it for a 1961 restoration.

If I stumble across a CL or CB motor, that may be a possibility.

Hi,

Thanks for the picture. Yes, an early CA77 1961 engine.
If you use the engine, be aware that it has no primary chain tensioner, an old type no good clutch, and gears with pitting issue's. An 8 hole cylinder without the extra oil way, and it uses 10 mm spark plugs (instead of 12 mm). But the casting is a little thicker

It sounds like I need to look for a different motor to use and let someone have this for a restoration.

I just got off the phone with a guy not too far from me that has a couple 305 motors. They are locked up, but maybe I can make it all work for me. He thinks one is a cb motor that was put in a cl frame, but wasn't 100% on that. He also has a lot of spare 305 parts that may help me out as well. Next Saturday I am going to pick through it and see what I can take off his hands that will get my project moving quicker.

Scored a good amount of parts today. One cb77 with a locked up motor and one cl77 with a locked up cb77 motor. I think I could put a few bikes together with what I have now, so once I get it all back to my garage I can figure out my plan of attack.
