Maybe PO bought the wrong battery and the leads were too short

My Chain Adjusters arrived from Razzee Motorcycles today. Everything was going well until I tried to slip the axle through. (Experienced 305 owners may have already noticed the problem....)

The external dimensions were the same as the originals, but..., obviously, these were made for a smaller axle.

I compared one of them to one of my CB160 adjusters and they were a perfect match.

Rather than try to find the correct ones, I'm just going to drill these out to the proper size.

I finally found a large enough bit to drill out the CB160 chain adjusters.

I think my next step will be to clean up and install the brake pedal assembly.

advice needed

Hi Everyone:
I'm back in town and getting back to work. I need some advice in two areas.
First, I installed the brake pedal but I don't want to install the left side pedal assembly then just have to remove it because it's in the way of the motor. So my first question is do I wait until after I get the motor in place before any more controls go on?

Second, I spent an hour of so sanding and cleaning the CB77 front fender. Usually I kind of enjoy this kind of work but looking at all these fenders, it's getting kind of tedious. Should I get a blast cabinet and a big compressor? After I finish these two bikes, I've got a whole line of projects that are just as dirty and rusty as these.

When I removed the license plate I wasn't at all surprise that it was held on by standard nuts and bolts but I was surprised to find a standard bolt along side the metric bolt that secures the tailight to the fender. One of the originals must of vibrated loose.

Blasting them makes it so much easier.
You never know what you'll find until you strip someone elses half ass job like I did.
