I have attached the front fender to its stay with bolts.

As stated above, we rode this bike without a front fender, most likely because the front fender stay was for the early '66 CL77 and this bike is a late '66.
Now that I have the front fender and stay bolted together, I need to attach them to the front forks.
I do not have bolts for this except for the bolt that holds the front brake arm (shown below). The other 3 bolts, i believe, are M8 x 16.
Is it advised that I pick these up at a hardware store? Or should I order online? Suggestions please.
Thanks all!

You can pick them up at a hardware store but take a close look at the threads in the lower sliders. I had to install Heli-coils on two if mine.
Good Luck

The itch is back - I need frame help.

As it is warming up in Michigan, I've had a few days out in the garage and am getting the itch to get some work done.
I sent the engine out to get rebuilt. I'll post picks when I get it back.
My frame needs a bit of care. The frame part that the front of the seat connects to is gone. I am thinking my best solution is to have someone weld on a replacement piece. Can someone on the site take a nice picture of there's and post it here for me to use as a guide. There is a small picture in my handbook, but not very large. Any other suggestions would be appreciated : )
Thanks! See below:

Could someone with a '66 scrambler remove their seat and snap a photo of the seats front connector please and submit it.
I am not sure what the name of that part is called, but it is part of the frame.
Thanks guys.

Thanks Mitch. Unfortunately this leads to a new question. Your seat bottom is different than mine. So... do i have the wrong seat? Or is your seat-to-frame connection different than mine because it is from a late '66 model and mine is an early '66.
Mitch you did a fine job of posting pics : )
I will post a picture of the seat bottom i have so everyone can see the connection I was thinking it would be.
Thanks again Mitch.
