Hi, Jensey! I was just thinking last night I hadn't seen you on here in some time. Welcome back!

Yes, I do know Rabobank is a Dutch firm. They have a large bank in a town near here, and they're one of the major sponsors of the team I ride for. Me, I bank at Chase!

It's good to hear from you!

Here's a sampling of the parts I've soaked in the oxalic solution. Yes, they DO shine!! I've yet to polish them and put wax on them (which I will do).

Hi,

I wasn't away that long, I recently posted the happy birthday Ed thread. But indeed, I'm not very active on this forum anymore (but I do read everything), but that will change soon.

Occupied with this : http://www.motor-forum.nl/forum/list_me ... 966-1.html

and this : http://www.hondatwins.net/forum/viewtop ... 54&t=12378

I'll be back (soon),

Jensen, that 450 is gorgeous! No wonder you've been away. It's good to have you back!

Hi,

Yes, it's a nice bike. 450's in general are nice bikes.
But within 5 years I learned everything about the 450's, no mysteries anymore.

So, it's kind a dull, it's not like the early CB72/77's, which, after all these years still have some mysteries.

Since a few years I'm busy with the restoration of a CB72 '61, and while looking for parts in my network, I stumbled against parts of a CB72 '59/60.

I have an engine of a CB72'59/60, mufflers, speedo and sidecovers, now, all I have to do is find the rest of the bike.

Jensen, that seems a rare machine indeed! 59-60, wow. If anyone can find the rest of the bike, it would be you - you certainly have the will to persevere!

That Duplicolor is really fine paint! I may not need to bring the gas tank and fenders to a paint shop after all. Here's what I did today - more shiny bits, only in black and silver. The swingarm and toolbox need a few more coats, that headlight bucket is DONE!
