I love that bike but the only place I've seen one is here, so I'm not much help, I'm afraid.
I'm wondering if it is possible to build one from a mix of CB250 and CB72 parts? It just looks so 'right'. Now if you could graft K1 barrels and head onto a CB250 (or 360) G5 engine (the six speeder) that would be really rather lovely. Or, how about a CB400F motor in there? Sorry, just dreaming now.
I heard of someone putting a CBR250 motor in a CB160 Frame - I'd love to see that. How about a CBR600 in a CB77............

There is no code other than CB250 for the export and domestic models.
The few produced as domestic version were part of the well known export version production serial number: CB250-1000001_1024626.

Hey there, I was just reading through all of this about the Cb250 and such. I was in the U.S. Air Force stationed in Norhern Japan (Misawa AFB, to be exact) from Dec 67' til Dec 69'. I remember seeing the new CB & CL 350s, CB750 and the SL350. I saw brochures on the CB250, but never saw any like this one OR did I see any 250s at all. Only 350s I saw were the ones we all know about. Not much help, I know. I just thought I'd throw that in there. I, myself, NEVER heard anything about this model, until I read about it here. Has an Interesting look and now, I want to know MORE myself. BTW, in 68' I picked up on a 66' CB72 for a mere $250.00.

Sharp looking bike alright. Am I wrong, or are the mufflers and seat nonstock? And what's with the small black piece on the right carburetor? Good looking bike though, even though we are used to seeing that gastank on a Super Hawk (or Hawk).

I'm convinced about the originality of the low handlebar by the Honda OEM marks near the clamps and the sales brochure offering the two handlebar options.
Was normal for Honda at that time to offer options of handlebar for the same model?
