I cleaned the right crankcase. The black stripe on the lowest gear should be between the other two black stripes. I still haven't figured out how to do that.

Remove the one not on the return spring and fit to marks.
The wire spring is installed wrong. ..........lm

Hi,
Yesterday Kristof came by (a really nice and young guy, or in Texan's, a nice feller), and we went trough the engine. Primary chain sprocket and chain issue's are solved, pistons too.
But, sadly, that won't be enough to get the bike running again.
The trans is worn out, the high mileage took it's toll and as usual you can walk different routes.
Or replace all broken parts, or simply throw in a nice used trans.
With so much damage I would go for the last option, so if anyone feels helping him out ?
When needed, I will help him further in the right direction,
Jensen

Thanks Jensen! Yesterday was a great day. Learned a lot in a short time:). As a young farmacist my knowledge is very limited of engines and this help was very welcome.
Like Jensen said, I will need a lot of parts: a starter spindle, countershaft second gear, countershaft bush, gear mainshaft, shifting forks,... Any help is welcome!

These are the only bearings I can't get out... I will probably have to take them to a machine shop with a hydraulic press.

This weekend I separated the shocks.

They have been torn down before because I'm missing one of the platics that is inside the spring.

Two little questions:
This is the starter. The left cable is not isolated. Is this normal?

In which color should this be painted?

I believe the bare lead to the brush is the ground lead and is not insulated.
The rear brake stopper arm should be zinc plated.
