Literature for CA77 Restore

Well, I just went down there and I can't find a number as described. Bear in mind, the previous owner spray painted (with a can) the whole bike. Regardless, I would have expected to see a faint number. Not so.

No riveted number.
It is stamped into the frame near the left rider peg . .............lm

What is the serial # and or motor # ?

Motor # is CA771E 1031071

The riveted number on the frame was painted over, but the engine and the frame don't go together anyway. The engine (runs quite well) was installed on this frame a few years ago.

Wow, I think I finally found it. What I'm seeing runs vertical and I can only really make out one number. It's really painted over. So I'll get some paint thinner and some steel wool tomorrow and see if I can uncover it.

OK, after about an hour of scrubbing I found CA78 - but no other numbers to the right or underneath. Am I still missing something?
