She is referring to the rear mudflap. Retro Bikes has both the flap and the stays.

My memory is something else - or, it's something I used to have.
I found the bill of sale for the Old Girl. It's dated 6/20/73. I could have sworn I bought her in 71. I guess not. Still, I've had her for a long time.
