Does anyone know what pitch thread chaser I need to buy to clean up the threads in the crankshaft? And, where I can get a new retainer bolt for the rotor?
You can just measure the bolt threads.

I could, but I'm too lazy...

I got the thread cleaned up nicely. I need to find a retainer bolt, and an uninterrupted day, where I can change the rotor and the stator assembly. Hopefully, with the "high magnetism" rotor and a nice stator, I can see more than 12.8 volts from the generator. If the voltage is good, I'll install the regulator rectifier I have. I do plan to buy the modern high output stator sometime down the road.

Please be aware that as far as the voltages go, I'm operating on memory, and at almost 66 years old, that's risky! I measured the output from the generator some time ago, too. I do know the battery will draw down enough in the course of an hour of riding to where the starter has trouble turning the engine over. If I turn on the headlight, well, all bets are off. This is old news, I'm just repeating it!
