A month has already passed since my last report and I've made very little progress. It's just too cold in my workshop. In installing new handlebars and re-attaching the clutch cable, I found my old right side crankcase cover was cracked. A replacement was found and a new bronze kick start bushing installed. It's now ready for paint, along with the starter chain cover, but they both must sit until it's warmer. I might just take the starter motor off to paint at the same time.

Another year is ending and I wish all of you a very happy and productive new year.

Thanks, and happy new year to all. I like how clean your mechanicals are Seadog.

The poor old '64 has set in my garage all winter sans the right side cover and starter motor. This past week I managed to get everything painted and today I reassembled all the bits and took her out for her first startup of the season. I'll be riding as soon as the temperatures rise.

All done:

Video of the first startup. The new side cover makes the other side look pathetic. Its day will come soon.
