No new pictures from yesterday as I spent pretty much the whole day turning boxes of parts upside-down looking for the steering damper knob spring.

Of course, it was in the original box that I had searched twice already.

And thse 3mm x 43mm JIS screws fro the taillight lens. The ones that came with the light were not long enough once it was assembled on the bracket with the gasket. The others I bought are M3 x 60mm and a tad too long.....

I have ordered some 3 x 43s (probably ISO) and an M3 JIS tap, just in case.....

Thank you for the kind offer. As with pretty much everything on this bike - the fork lock cover is unique. There is no cover flap and no hole for the pivot. I have one that I can modify but I think the shape is a little different, too.

A slight hijack here (sorry). I had read quite a while ago that the last CB77's had a plastic fork lock cover. Any confirmation on that? Pictures? Thanks, Chase

No problem. I've seen them on CB175s and the like and they are, dimensionally, the same part.

Not seen one on a CB77, though.

I had an interesting conversation with Tim Miller about footpeg rubbers. My bike came with rubbers which looked a bit like CB92 parts and the early parts manual seems to bear this out, although the sketches are a little unclear.

Image

I picked up some NOS rubbers on eBay last year and they look a lot more like the originals than the ones I bought from Clauss Studios.

Image

The Clauss version looks too skinny for rider pegs and you get this nice logo on my NOS ones. I think I will use the CB92-style ones on the front and the Clauss Studios ones on the rear pegs.
