I do this too, works very well. Four ratchet straps and your completely off the ground in little time and safely suspended.stratone wrote:Pasta, I put a 2x4 under my stand and strap the handle bars to a rafter. D

A traditional grease gun will work fine, it just does not lock on like an automotive type fitting and will require you to hold pressure. I had to have this repair done many years ago and brazing worked (and continues to work) well. Clearly this is a stress failure and the rather large amount of bronze used has likely spread the stress and reduced the strain on the sheet metal. I agree that brazing does tend to work better on thinner...
