Is the mounting bracket for the rear fuel tank rubber on a CB77 painted black or the body color?

I am restoring a 1962 CB77 to its original Scarlet Red paint scheme. I have seen pictures where the center stand and the taillight bracket are painted black. Thanks Lee, are they difficult to drive out? Also, am I correct in that the piston needs to come off in order to remove the chrome sleeve?
