I was re-routing my throttle cable as recommended by LM and the upper cable seems too long. If I place the junction piece under the coils the upper cable sticks out way in front of the headlight. Now you can pull the gearshift spindle assy straight out. You can see the shift drum stopper assy. Remove the kick start stopper bolt (17mm socket head) and the 2 bolts and remove the assy.
