SCR giving a light show! Pretty blue light !@#$!

Ok so the owner is due to pick up the bike tomorrow and I just worked it out to kick over easy (no battery and no capacitor either). Now it is throwing sparks, BIG ONES, between the plates of the SCR. Will one of the Radio Shack solid state full wave rectifiers fix this? or is this a result of not h...

Ok so the SCR is not the problem. I am getting continuity through the new headlight. Still wondering why I'm not getting any light out of it though. Any ideas?

Lighting issues please help!

I just finished building the tail light and jerry-rigging a 35/35 halogen into the old housing for a headlight. I bench tested both and everything worked well. Carb part needed.

I need a float bowl for a 68 CL77 kei-hin carb, mine had a pin hole that I re-flowed with silver but the heat warped the bowl and I don't think it will last long. Please help, I don't want to buy a whole carb over a warped bowl. :)

Good luck with your custom, that's a pretty radical build. You mentioned using Armaflex as a thin seat cushion material for your custom. I'll be refoaming and recovering a CL77 seat for the first time soon and had been planning on using built up rebond carpet padding with a top layer of a different...

Decided against the tensioner for now, maybe later.

Do I really NEED a battery?

I am nearly finnished with the bobber build and would rather not have a battery on the bike (read already painted and don't want to weld anymore). So I am asking for input from the forum.... Does a 68 CL77 require a battery to operate? What do i need to do to the wiring to delete the battery? What w...
