Rocker Arm Pickle
I am in a bit of a pickle with rocker arm reassembly on my 65 CA77. When putting the pins back in I found there are two different sizes (and that I had accidentally gotten two mixed up). I am now concerned that I may have swapped the rocker arms too (since I packed these parts as sets). Are the rock...

Ring part #'s and Cylinder Honing?
Does anyone out there know the correct part number for 1965 CA77 piston rings standard size? The part list I have show two different numbers 13010-266-000 and 13012-275-000. I am concerned that one of the numbers relates to pre 1964 dreams only and don't want to buy the wrong set. Also how important...

Engine Case Gasket Sealer
What kind/brand of gasket sealer should be used to seal the case halves together. The guy at the autoparts store said I need a special variety for mating surfaces without a groove and that they did not carry it.

I began assembled the shifter and transmission over the weekend. I ended up using a generic assembly lube that comes in a tube from autozone. It is definitely much thicker than regular weight oils which worked out to be cleaner and should protect better. It says it dissolves in engine oil and I assu...

Assembly lube and general torque specs
I have cleaned all the engine parts and am beginning reassembly after a complete teardown. Should I use some kind of special assembly lubricant or is 30 weight engine oil just as good? Also the manual I have has torque specs for some specific nuts but not a general specification for odds and ends. F...

Unfortunately I am pretty sure the nut is stuck. I was turning it the way you illustrated in previous posts. For giggles I even tried to turn it the opposite way and that didn't work either. I have no idea why this is so stuck. I even tried heating it with a torch and still nothing. I was planning o...

Camshaft still stuck and intake valve bent
I was able to remove the valves with a tool that I made using the designs you posted from an 8" C-clamp and a piece of 1" diameter PVC pipe. One of the intake valve was seemingly stuck and I managed to bend it just slightly when removing it. It still slid out but not really smoothly so I will defini...
