CA77 Piston / Rings Installation - How to WITHOUT ring compr

Hi everyone. I recently installed new pistons and rings on my CA77. The CA77 motor, unlike the CB77, has each piston moving up and down at the same time. With one person, trying to compress both piston rings and push down the cylinder is nearly impossible. After some wasted time and an abundance of ...

.50 Oversize Pistons - RING GAP????

Happy New Year everyone.

I'm installing .50 over pistons in a 65 CA78. Just wondering if anyone knows what the ring gaps should be? I can find the info for STD pistons and .25 over, but no luck with .50 over. Thanks for the help!

At that point, it won't be all original, but it will be a nice bike for someone to enjoy and a hell of a weekend rider. The real enjoyment is bringing the bikes...

Yes I know I'll be spending money in both cases, but I didn't know if one method over the other would make the bike more desirable since it only has 1900 miles. Thanks for the recommendation with the pistons!

1965 CA77 - 1900 original miles - Question bringing her back

Hi Everyone - I have a 65 CA77 with 1900 original miles. The paint/chromeis in good shape and I would like to keep this bike with everything as it was in 65. It even still has the original tires. After sitting for over 40 years without use, the piston rings were frozen. The rings are now free, but a...
