I know this has been asked, and I've searched and read the previous posts, but I'm still confused about what size screw I need for my 1962 CA77 petcock. Success!!! Checked the points and the coil and both were fine. I was looking at the parts diagram and I saw I was missing the rubber cap that goes over one of the wires on the top of the ignition switch. I found it inside - it had slide off for some reason and worked its way down the wire to the ins...

Don't know why my post above was blank?? Anyway...I checked the chain and when I try to start the engine, it moves a little, then stops, then moves a little more all the while I hear that spinning noise. Smoke came out of the right side cover - The clutch cable was touching the starter switch and it...
