Cleaned everything up and put it all back together with new gaskets and no oil leaks.

66 305 scrambler, I replaced the crank had a cb k5 to a cb k40 the latest model with the different spline -020 part drive sprocket. On start up I blew the head gasket oil passages with rubber O rings. Blew out from the oil pressure. I really can't think of anything I did [never had the head apart] a...

No need to replace the cam sprocket unless it is damaged, check the rivets that hold the sprocket on the cam assembly they are known to become loose over time. Make sure the advance springs are good and the advance mechanism is not wore out.

I hand reamed my rods with a 5 flute spiral expanding reamer 19/32 [they are kind of expensive 60-70 dollars] did a nice job almost made the holes round again. What type of reamer did you use? Adjustable or expansion spiral or straight flute.
