This from my 66 CL77....my basket case:) These wires are coming from the coils back to where the battery would be. There is no battery in the bike. I am assuming the lower wire with the silver nut is for the positive battery connection. But I am not quite sure what the wires are doing that I am hold...

I actually filled it with nuts/bolts and wrapped it in towels and blankets then put it in my dryer for 30 minutes. It loosened up a lot of rust and such.
