I have a weak amber colored spark at the plugs. Have tuned everything and bike runs great. Should this color be normal. I would think blue spark. Replaced plug wires,etc.

Coil is probably getting weak after 50 years..

Fixed the problem by carefully milling 1/16" off end of throttle slider at handlebar. Enough to lower the idle rpm to manageable adjusting .

New aftermarket cable is too long after adjustment. Double checked all else.

Hey Guys,

Searched the forum and decided to post. Throttle body is sticking causing high revs at idle.

New throttle cable/adjusted, carb removed and jets cleaned, etc.

Tips??

I have not soda blasted but did use very fine grade sand to sand blast an assembled engine. I spent tons of time sealing up ports, seals, etc. 3x each before performing the job. Directional control skill and a good nozzle tip are non negotiables. I know some would debate this and not sure I would do...
