Lights & charging system...
Having the good fortune to reside proximate to MrHonda Bill Silver, who was the wrench & parts supplier for my blue '66 CB77 resto, I recall some early charging systems were pretty potent & could cause failure of some E-parts if... the lights were not run all the time. As to these bikes not being ca...

Paint colors....
KRYLON Dull Aluminum is the best match, rattle can color & closest to factory color for silver body parts. I also shoot a coat of Krylon Clear over the Dull Alum. I've ridden both the Honda 160 & 175cc slopers, and the 20hp 175KO blows away the lesser 160. The bike pictured is my '69 model in Candy Orange with 7200 miles on the clock. Other than ...

Restoring a blue '65 CL72 as well
Just joined this forum as my '65 CL72 project is finally front burner. MrHonda Bill roped me into the Honda rodeo almost 20 years ago beginning with a '65 S90 restoration. Had a new '67 CL77 while stationed on Guam in the late '60's but my next duty station (Vietnam) forced its sale. I restored a bl...
