Here is a photo which shows the correct orientation. Found it on a search of this site;

You can see the cam marker and the “O” are inline...both at 12 o’clock.

If I’m not mistaken, the cam shaft notch should’ve been pointing up inline with the “O” marker. I’m no rebuilder, but remembering (or trying to) what I did on my rebuild with LM on the phone. When setting the timing chain on, did you align the “notch” on the cam shaft end with the “O” mark on the cam chain sprocket?

looking at your photo's (#1 specifically), I see what looks like a mashed black wire center top of the image. the wire insulation looks damaged, but the wire itself appears silver?...nevertheless, it looks like it may be exposed. can you confirm?

What’s the difference between VESRAH and NIKKO?
Ohio Cycle shows the same part number for both products.
But only the NIKKO appears to be available.

I’m with DJM on holding off on ordering parts right now. Looking at the diagram on the net, the CA160 has one red wire and one red/white trace wire at the positive terminal on the battery, along with the cable to the starter circuit.
