.005-.006 with new rings. If in question get .25 over and hand file the gap. Good piston to cylinder .002-.003

Fuel inlet thread repair

I repaired the banjo bolt (in carb) threads using a 3/8ths x 24 heli coil set. The taped hole comes out to 11mm which leaves plenty of metal for strength. Rethreaded the bolt to 3/8's and can now tighten it as needed. Leak checked it and all is good. Just thought I would pass this along as you can s...

Thank you. I tried a die that size but seemed wrong. Was not sure if it was the bolt or thread pitch. I've got a few carb bodies with bad threads that I want to try and repair. I've got nothing to lose but time and if it works as planed it might help others.
