I think it is adjusted correctly, I had plenty of free play on the cable and the slot on the big alluminium screw lined up with the mark on the case. It only slips when I really turn on the power.

As my clutch slipped on maximum power I do feel that something must be at fault.If my clutch springs have been compressed for 50 years is it not reasonable to expect them to be weakened?

I have just been looking in the parts book for the part number of the clutch springs for my model. There were three numbers given for different springs but none of them were for my engine number
(CB771022169) .
Any Ideas?
