Re: CL77 installed static valve spring length

The CB77 spec is

Inner spring length 37.54 mm
Outer spring length 43.36 mm

You mentioned installed length but that will indicate nothing about the condition of the spring. The above lengths are free lengths. I believe that the specs are identical with the CL77.

Cool project, are you sure it's 64mm? That's like the S12 305 piston size. Bill Silver in the US just had several sets for sale.
What do you mean by S12? I've never heard of it.

Re: CA77 Starter relay

I've rebuilt a few CB77 relays but have no experience with CA77s but I suspect they are either similar or identical. Here are a few comments.

First, is your battery in good condition and charged? This is a requirement for the starter to work. If you need to, a 12V car battery or portable jumper ...

Re: Bullet Connectors - Superhawk

I bought some connectors a couple of years ago. For very little (< $20 CDN) I got a nice plastic tray containing an assortment of 3.5mm & 4.0mm, male & female along with with some double and triple female connectors. It also came with a remarkably good crimping tool.

You can also reuse the old male ...

Re: CB72 running 20v at battery with new parts

A couple of things come to mind.

Is there any chance that the BSA rectifier is positive ground? Unfortunately I'm not quite sure what the effect would be but I suspect it would either burn out the rectifier or let some smoke out of the wires.

Could the stator have more windings after its rewinding ...

Re: LOUD MOUSE

I hope he is well too. He has posted his phone number several times although I didn't find it with a quick search. Someone might like to try it.

That said, since this site came back up he hasn't been anywhere near as active and that may be all we're seeing.
