I just measured the outside diameter of a pipe with its collars. It is 45 mm. Inside diameter is about 32 mm. Hope this helps.

It is grounded by contact with the headlight case and, more reliably, through the screws that hold it in the case. If you are having a problem there's no reason you couldn't run a ground wire into the case along side the wire harness.

It would be zinc. Even then, cadmium's toxicity made it more expensive than zinc.

Cylinders need to come off to split the cases to replace the bearing and roller? Or can I get at them without doing that? Thanks all! You need only remove the bottom case to remove the crankshaft. However, getting the pistons back into the cylinders from the bottom will be difficult, assuming it's ...
