Since this appears to be a 'Kevin' thread, I might as well add my 2ยข. When I loosened the large lock nut, I was able to get the left-side cam out without too much trouble. The side other side had the spark advance/ cam sprocket stuck on, so I was having a heck of a time with it. I ended up having to...

I bought the Radio Shack rectifier for my '64 Dream that I'm rebuilding and was trying to explain the swap to someone, so I ended up making a color-coded diagram to make it easier. It also includes a possibility for a mounting bracket if you don't want to use the one off your stock one (haven't gott...

CA77 Dream 305 Parts
I've been working to gather all of the parts that I'll eventually be needing for my 1964 Dream 305. I'm not building a show bike; just a functioning rider. Some parts will obviously work from newer Dreams, but other parts are specific to '64 and earlier CA77s (mostly because of the differently-sized...

Re: CA77 Dream
"CA77E" is the engine serial number prefix. The bike is actually just a "CA77." I believe '67 was the last year they actually built the bikes, but the ones that didn't sell immediately were titled with the year they were first registered, not the year they were built. Odds are yo...

Re: My "new" '64 CA77
Thanks for the reply! It seems I do still have the black rubber carb-to-filter connector. I just noticed that there's a NOS air filter on Ebay, but odds are that will end up going for a pretty penny. I've seen the main battery cover on ebay before, but I'm not sure I've seen the inner air filter cov...
