Re: Cold starting

Not sure that the HV was a forerunner to the HA, completely different type of construction. Gold Palladium plugs are noted for their much improved resistance to fouling when compared to 'conventional' plugs. Years ago I heard of a major car manufacturer that was having problems with wear in the inle...

Re: Fat Right Side

If you're sure the floats are set correctly any chance one has a pin hole or two in it? Still perhaps worth trying to swap floats and float valves left to right to see it changes anything. Just lately I've also heard of a few cases of condenser failure which would have been very unusual only a few y...

Re: Fat Right Side

If you're sure that the choke slides are synchronised properly and that both chokes are fully open when the choke is OFF then almost certainly the float level needs to be adjusted. It sounds as if the fuel level is too high on right hand carb. Fuel level in the carbs affects all throttle openings. M...

Re: ca77 305 oil around plug hole

This is a well documented problem with all of these engines, C, CA, CB and CL, not all engines suffer from the problem but quite a few of them do. American Honda even issues a Service Bulletin about the problem so it was accepted as an issue by them. I suggest you look back through old postings for ...

Re: engine builder/assembler needed in west michigan

Buy a few manuals and have a go yourself, They are easy engines to work on and all the help you'll need is available on this list, either look through the old posts or just ask a question. I don't think you'll have a problem that nobody's had before.
