Shifter issues after cases off

Hi everyone. New to the world of Dreams, picked up a 1966 Ca77 a few weeks back! This weekend I took the engine side covers off for sandblasting. I got everything back together, refilled with oil and everything seemed good. However, the shifter is acting weird. Almost like it gets stuck/won't shift ...
