Thanks for the response - much appreciated. When attempting to register the bike, what serial # is usually used for most states? The engine, or the frame? Common sense tells me it should be the frame.

I believe that you are correct. My Dream has the the indicator in the headlight housing, but no indicator in the speedometer.

I will have to go where the bike is stored to get the VIN number. I will post it here. I have seen a lot of pictures of earlier CA77's like 1962 and 1963's with the indicator in the speedometer.
