Good that you solved your problem !

I just replaced my starter with a used part (1966 CB77) and the chain seems very loose. The bike starts and all, but I am wondering how taut the chain is supposed to be ?

Just wanted to note that I did, finally, manage to get the Tach Cable off of the bike. I slipped a box-ended wrench over the Tach Cable and it gave me sufficient grip on the nut to get it off. LOUD MOUSE... I did try calling you and left a message, at the time... but life got in the way and time has...

I thought that, maybe, a thin strip of steel could also be inserted into the tool and welded on the side where the brackets are attached. Thanks Al. Yes, I see that. I am looking more for a solution for how to stop the nut, welded to the tool box, from being bent and broken off of the tool box by the force of the side panel knob attached to it. For the time being, I have just wired the right side Air Filter Cover so it won't fly off. ...
