Re: Kickstarter questions

Attached image is taken from a period road test from 1965 of what would certainly have been a 'new' IE not messed with bike. Hard to see clearly but if you look close the kick start arm is at the 11 o' clock position as specified by LM. That's about where mine is and it works fine, one 'notch' lower...

Re: Fuel tank painting

Need to make sure the Superglue has fully 'gone off' before putting the fuel cap back on!

Seriously though it sounds a sensible suggestion and well worth a try.

Re: Fuel tank painting

I had the tank on my CL77 repainted by a professional painter, after twelve years of use there is no any signs of the paint lifting in the area around the cap. Re: CL77 Dampers

I think it may have something to do with the proximity of the left hand damper to the exhaust pipes?

Re: Elektronik Sachse Ignition - Junk, Do not buy

Grinding a small groove for the wiring seems a small price to pay for what seems a good product, triggers from the crank as it should. To me anything that works from the original points cam area is loosing half of the potential benefits of the upgrade. Keep us all informed as to progress.

Re: Elektronik Sachse Ignition - Junk, Do not buy

Any chance of a picture showing how it goes together. I can't quite understand how they manage to fit it over the existing alternator rotor but still mange to use the standard cover, must be a tight squeeze?
