I just checked the parts manual. It looks fine. The nut is oriented correctly with the chamfer to the outside.

I would like to disassemble, re-chrome and assemble the kickstart arm assembly on my CB77. The strength of the spring makes it difficult (impossible?) to compress the spring and remove the retainer clip with any tools that I have. Since you identify your bike as a 1965 model it might have either of the two designs of front fork. (Honda did not use model years.)
