Re: Project Dumpster Fire - 1966 Honda 305 Scrambler

There's nothing like a project like this to help you realise how many parts there are in a motorcycle. And, yours is missing some!

I'm wrapping up a CB77 which needed a lot of parts and a lot of restoration on the ones that I kept. All the best. I'll watch your progress on (gag) YouTube.

Re: Throttle Cable Too Short

Is this perhaps a cable with the length suitable for the earlier flat handlebar on a bike with the later midrise handlebar that requires longer cables?

Re: Honda Super Hawk NOS Parts for Sale

You can buy spark plug wire at automotive supply shops - the guys that sell mostly to garages. Unfortunately the ignition systems are weak so if you have resistor wires plugs and caps the spark will be weak as well. Copper wire is still available. NGK D8HA plugs, rather than the DR8HA resistor plugs...

Re: CB77 mystery

This is, of course, the year of manufacture of the wiring harness but the dates correlate closely. I can't find my lis...

Re: Chain Dragging Sound Behind Rotor

I wonder what would have generated the torque to shear these machine screws? Is it repairable? Looking inside this starter clutch I see three rollers inside the starter clutch. Where are the caps and springs located? Do I need to take off the sprocket and chain or is taking it apart this far enough...

Re: Gearshift Arm Position

As deuce_7 points out, it is not possible to tell what gear, if any, the bike is in by looking. There should be a small dimple in the end of the shaft that lines up with one on the arm that clamps to the shaft. These should line up as it doesn't work as well with even it's only one spline out of reg...
