Thank you folks - I had a suspicion there wasn't going to be much in it between the years/bikes. As I've said to DJM in a PM, I'm not interested in originality of consumables; I'm more concerned with having a working, functioning machine. If the 250/350K plates fit, so much the better. ANd point tak...

Clutch friction plates - sources

How do After rebuilding most of the engines for the CL and CA77's, I'm at the point where I need some new friction plates, but they seem to be fairly scarce. I was hoping EBC would make 'em, but either they don't or I can't find the right numbers. What sources are worth checking out? Ideally they'd ...

So yeah - as you'll have seen in the eBay ad, it's the '77 I was referring to . . . . . . I found reference to it on what I assume is an earlier '77 fiche page (CMS have two listings for the CL77) and it shows up on the swingarm diagram as something called a Registered Number Plate with part number ...

Not sure what the question marks are in reference to . . . . . . since the only difference between the stickers would be the model number ('72/'77) and the discussion was around the content of that same sticker, I didn't think posting the question here was too far out of place . . . . . . but if you...

No worries. It looks like the guy who runs this forum tried to get a registry for the Dreams off the ground at one point, but much like the forum now, he seems to have lost interest in its maintenance. If you bought yours from somewhere like Summerbud, DK Spares or Classic Bike Imports Ltd (Freddie ...

Anyone remanufacture the swingarm sticker?

On that note . . .

. . . I've seen someone offering remanufactured swingarm stickers for the CL77 on eBay, but the price is crazy high. Beyond that seller, are there any sources out there selling repros of the swingarm sticker?

Unfortunately, unless you got a copy of the US state title from the last owner when the bike was sold - and even then, that assumes the last owner ever held the title - it's nigh on impossible to find out. Unlike the DVLA, there's no central licencing body or records repository; as LM said, it's a s...
