Finally got the broken stud out of the steering stem and installed a replacement damper assembly.
Now, to lube the friction plates or not? & if so with what?

Anyone found a good way to seal the connection with the stock header pipes?
The mufflers do not have a slit to tighten them with a clamp, and do not have enough clearance to slip some kind of packing in the joint even if a slit was cut.

engine cold, dry test, wide open throttle, air cleaner in place
