any recommendations for welding cracks in a side cover ?right side cover on my cafe project is cracked, and I've had it to two of the locals. re:back in the day it was not unusual for a bike to be registered as year sold instead of year produced. I purchased a new GT 750 Suzuki in 1975, and it was titled as a 1975, but was actually a 1974 model (might even have been a '73) Dealers were sometimes less than forthcoming about such things. re:Hard to tell from the picture. Is this for sure a crack ? Or possibly a casting flaw. The reason I ask is the first time I opened up one of mine I was sure it was cracked, but what I was seeing was casting flaws. (FWIW I also have discovered cracks.)

Cafe project progressNot really a restoration- just a renovation of sorts. Did this sort of thing with an RD 400 several years ago and had a ball with it (till it seized at speed). Hope th pic comes thru ok. Miley
