Just a thought don't know if it's been suggested but instead of trying to make new bits fit your old carb why not fit a complete new carb with matching slider. CB77 throttle cable is (for lack of a better term) a "Y"....no reason to change my carb..just need a single (rather than dual) pull cable. ...
