Re: WANTED - 1962 Tail Light Lens

Brain kicking in after I sent that, and did a quick search on eBay..... finding a few that looked decent. One I noticed was from an outfit in NZ. I picked up one of their (pricey) manuals a few weeks ago. Really decent repro of an original Honda Manual and realized that after I got it (used to have ...

Re: WANTED - 1962 Tail Light Lens

Sir, can't help you with the lens, but a question if I may.

I see a number of folks mentioning a "Parts Catalog." Is this something that was/is available, and if the latter, where can they be had?

Thank you.... and good luck with the lens.

Re: What size/model carbs?

We did set the floats to 22.5 mm above the cut out in the lip. The original float tweaked right in to that setting. The new Honda OEM float a PO provided really needed the tang bent a bunch to achieve the 22.5 setting. The new float was provided since the original had a hole in it. As mentioned in a...

Re: CL77 Seat mount modification

The original poster of this thread ran a slew of jets over for me to try to see if it would help with the bogging issue. The bike has 130 mains in it now, and his collection included some 135 and 140's. I decided to go for the gusto and went with the 140's since the LH carb bowl is kind of pain to g...

Re: CL77 Seat mount modification

Easier to machine, drill, and cut a couple of slugs to take up the slack, than to pull the pins, locate the centers, and drill new holes. That may happen in the future, but for now, this works just fine.... thank you….. thank you very much. https://photos.smugmug.com/Motorcycle-Repair/CL77-305-Resto...

Re: CL77 Seat mount modification

Thanks, I'll give it a try - but - the filters are brand new. The carbs have been cleaned and gone through pretty thoroughly. New float valves installed as well. Timing also checked. First time on the road for a test since getting the bike, so working out the bugs. https://photos.smugmug.com/Motorcy...

Re: CL77 Seat mount modification

Thank you. This has been bugging me ever since I first read Chuck’s note before I acquired this bike. Can’t remember any such issue on the one I had back in the late 60’s. It needs a little finesse work done to clean it up, but I really need to stop fooling with this frivolous stuff and try to figur...
