Re: CL77 Seat mount modificationNow that I have another CL77 to play with, decided to fix the issue that Mr. Smith asked about. What I did: Two 5/16" clevis pins, heads shinnied down to lower the profile and make it flatter, shortened to accommodate the thickness of the seat mount rubber, new clip hole for the clip pin drilled. 8 ...

What size/model carbs? Some of you old timers are probably chuckling at my inane questions, but going to ask anyway; I need to know.
How can I tell what model Keihins my ’67 CL77 has? I have assumed 22’s, but I am beginning to doubt that. Are there any marks on the carb bodies to indicate what they are??

Re: '67 CL77 Petcock MAIN standpipe height??You're probably correct, but ran into a number of bikes when I was working at a bike shop that did have the crossover lines. The tank on the Kawasaki KLR's have deep side pockets that tend to capture a lot of RES fuel that makes it unusable. The petcock is on the left side, and the trick is to lean ...
Re: '67 CL77 Petcock MAIN standpipe height??Thank you.
It's funny, kinda, but I have forgotten all of the nuances of the CL I had back in the late 60's and early 70's. Don't believe that one had a crossover connection. Had the tank off enough you'd think I'd remember something like that. Getting old sucks - plain and simple.
Re: '67 CL77 Petcock MAIN standpipe height??Another petcock question…… A local friend of mine also has a ’67 CL77 scrambler, and brought his petcock over for me to redo the standpipe. His was split all the way to the base (like mine was originally), but he wasn’t aware of it. He was riding along fat, dumb, and happy when the bike began sputte...
