Appreciate it.
Most of the reports I've read don't give it very high marks, however, not sure what they were using it on either. May work just fine on older Japanese bike paint. Found it today in a local Advance Auto, so may grab a can and give it a whack.
Thank you again.

CL77 OEM Paint removalEventually, I will want to remove the OEM (grey) paint on my '67 CL77 tank. I AM NOT a paint and body person (no patience), but have rattled canned the s/m on my old CL back in the '60s and it turned out decent. That one I just took the gloss off the paint, sprayed it, rubbed it out a couple of time...
Re: '67 CL77 Petcock MAIN standpipe height??Thank you.
Don't suspect it's very critical.... mainly just how soon you're required to switch to RESERVE, and just how much RESERVE you do have to make it the next station. Best in the new year, Guy
Re: And another '67 CL77 petcock question…….Thank you DJM and Muddy. That's what I kinda feared. Thought I was going a little loony there for a bit looking at the thread gage. I'll go ahead and reassemble it with the original hardware and keep looking for the .6 mm screws, but will keep the 0.5 mm pitch tap on hand JIC..... or JIS as the case...
And another '67 CL77 petcock question…….What is the size of the 2 small screws that secure the plate lever to the petcock body supposed to be? I say “supposed” because the fiches I’ve found say they are standard JIS 3mm x .5 x 5mm screws. Mine are not and have a .6mm pitch, and not a .5 pitch like the standard JIS. Anyone else run across ...
'67 CL77 Petcock MAIN standpipe height??I’m in the process of rebuilding the petcock of a recently acquired ’67 CL77. The tank was pretty much yukked up from having ethanol gas sitting in it, and the petcock was completely clogged up with the MAIN standpipe being split and in terrible shape. The prudent thing to do was just remove it from...
Re: CL77 Seat mount modificationOld post, buy why not reverse the position of the bolts? Bring the bolt up from the underside, nut on the top to clamp the hand rail. Make the bolt long enough to go through the seat brackets, add a washer, then slip your pin through a hole in the bolt.
